We considered setting this up in Vantage with a separate warehouse for
tooling, but then we saw this great demo of a thing called cribware. It's
at www.cribware.com. They have everything from just your basic software to
vending machine-type dispensers that keep track of who took what and what
job they were on and so on. Bar-code capabilities and everything. We toured
another facility that has it and they really like it. Seems a little pricey
(around 10K). The other place said it saved them the cost of runaway
tooling purchases in 6 months. We have it on our budget, but not until 4th
quarter (starting to sound like Epicor--help me!).

My engineer wants to start not only tracking usage/cost of CNC tooling, but
also want to assign part of the cost to jobs, etc. is anyone in the group
using specific software MRO and also whether or not it is linked to Vantage
and how?

I do not want to stir away from Vantage too much on this one. Ideas?
