Closing first month end and Accounting is saying that the GL for our only AP account is higher than the total for AP Open invoices at month end.
Where can I be looking for the difference if we only have one AP account?
- Is anything hung in the review journal?
- Are all of your AP Invoice groups posted? Payment groups posted?
- If you look at the detail in your AP GL Account, do you have any general journal entries or something coming from somewhere other than AP.
- Are they running the aging with the appropriate parameters?
- How did you load up your cutover invoices? Did you use the open AP load program? Does your starting GL balance tie to your starting aging?
Found it, I just assumed they checked the starting aging. 2 invoices that did not come over ended up being in the beginning balance… Thanks for the aha moment.
Glad you found it and the issue was the balance and not the initial load. It might be worth taking a few minutes to compare your ending AP aging, AR Aging and trial balance from your legacy system to the starting agings and trial balance in Epicor for peace of mind.
