Hi APM masters,

I had an issue in APM 3 where the ERM service wont start unless you kill the session in the admin console the solution is as follows.

Go to APM Admin Console - Manage > Monitor Sessions > Bug in 3.0 -- ERM license sometimes gets stuck --
See the ERM license is "in Use" -- and click on that row -- then End Session.
Now - ERM service will start.

This will help me to start the ERM service and everyone happy but what  we would need is a way to notify us whenever the service is down? Maybe write a script .

Do you have any suggestion on how we can accomplish this or any other suggestion would be welcoming?

Thanks so much,

I have a script I got off of spiceworks that monitors the print queue, so when ERM is not processing and the queue grows it emails our help desk.

If you want it, I will send it to you offline.

There is also a newer build of APM 3 than is on the CD. 3.0.48 build 39 patch 1550. I have not changed to it yet, but maybe it would solve your issue.

Greg

We had that same issue yesterday, I would like the script if you don’t mind.
