ERM Config tab inside the Configure controls this launches the ERM Options window. Inside of this window on the ERM Options Tab I have the 'Identify Document' set to a unique key for this report. Input type EMF, 'File
Action' Process normally. Now the ERM Properties tab, here I list the Property Value and set the location on the report that the fax number is being pulled from as well as a formula to format the number. Heres the formula as this may be the issue:

Hello Group,

I have a question regarding APM faxing. I am currently trying to set up APM to fax a document. I have successfully set up APM to email the document, which I was doing as s test to make sure I covered everything needed. Apparently for the fax I am missing a step.

Is there a set up step where I need to point to a certain fax number / machine? This is not using a third party eFax type set up these are physical fax machines. Does that matter? I'm sure this means some type of difference in the set up.

I've created a routing list with distribution to 'All Recipients in this group' with a value related to a fax number in the 'Members' portion. Checkbox is checked inside the Members list.

I've set up the "Recipients" portion, on the general tab I have added a fax 'Method', its the same 'Property Value' as in the routing list. on the 'Member Of' tab shows the Routing list I've created.

In Documents Type 'Properties Tab' I have the Property Value of the Fax contact i've added to the routing and recipients. ERM Config tab inside the Configure controls this launches the ERM Options window. Inside of this window on the ERM Options Tab I have the 'Identify Document' set to a unique key for this report. Input type EMF, 'File Action' Process normally. Now the ERM Properties tab, here I list the Property Value and set the location on the report that the fax number is being pulled from as well as a formula to format the number. Heres the formula as this may be the issue:

if len(PropertyValue)>1 Then
PropertyValue = Replace(PropertyValue,"-","")
PropertyValue = Replace(PropertyValue,"(","")
PropertyValue = Replace(PropertyValue,")","")
PropertyValue = Replace(PropertyValue,".","")
PropertyValue = Replace(PropertyValue," ","")
End if

if len(PropertyValue) < 10 Then
TextOut = "7" & PropertyValue
else
TextOut = "71" & PropertyValue
End if

Other than that I really haven't changed or set up anything else. If anyone sees something or has any insight into this it would greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Does anyone know if APM faxing requires hardware? Modem? Or is it solely electronic without the need for a modem?

From what doc-link has told me you have to have a modem in your server.

OK. It looks like we’ve identified the issue. There are some missing setup/config and hardware components by the local sys admin for APM faxing. Thanks to everyone.
