I created a layer for a screen, made changes and then published it.
Then, I wanted to make further changes later on to that screen, but I could only do so by making yet another layer, which was successfully published…but now I have two layers.
When I try to go in and make more edits, I am defaulted to the second layer. But again, I am unable to edit anything. The Change Layer action shows me both layers and offers the option to Edit the first layer. Why can’t I edit the current (i.e., the second) layer?
Am I supposed to always create new layers each time, and then merge them??
I previously got stuck in a Commit loop, where changes would not commit in the existing layer: attempting to Publish I’d get a statement that I had to first Commit, and it showed the Commit window. I’d do that, and hit ‘Commit’, and then try to Publish again, and it would again say I needed to Commit first, etc.
Usually with those types of gremlins, I’ll just close the browser entirely and go back in. The tends to clear stuff like that up. Frustrating to lose any changes made, though.
