I am trying to set up a rejection workflow for a customer - they want to be able to reject incorrectly indexed invoices back to whoever submitted them. I’ve leveraged the $Is Denied property to catch and reroute documents. However, I’d love to be able to use what is typed in the box that appears when you click Deny further in the workflow (like putting it in a big stamp or a Display Message, etc)
I know the comment shows in history but they won’t want to scroll down to find it. It doesn’t appear to go in any system field I can see that I could reference elsewhere.
@ballisticks, if you figure out a way to display the Approval / Denial comments in a Big Stamp or a Display Message, please share with this forum!
Just one clarification . . . you mentioned that you know that the Approval / Denial comments appear in the History accordion, but your users don’t want to scroll down to find the comments.
Please note: I advised my ECM users to click the Approvals tab of the History accordion to see just the Approval / Denial comments. No scrolling through useless chat!
And if the Approvals tab of the History accordion is the last tab that an ECM user views (clicks), then History will default to the Approvals tab the next time that user opens a document.
I will for sure. I bet i could DataLink it from AAAA0001 and stick it in a stamp, but that would only work for on-prem customers.
This customer likes everything to be right there without having to scroll or click or anything. They process 1000s of invoices a week so they want it to be as smooth as possible.
I’m not sure if you’re looking for more than this, but I believe that this Site Setting will instead prompt the user to enter their comments in the stamp and that then becomes an annotation on the document.
