So I successfully setup APR and seems to be working fine but I have a few questions about it:
When I click the print preview I’m been asked if I want to run the Routing option, if I hit yes it will automatically send the email, can I hit yes and preview the Email fields before sending it so I can change anything if needed?
Also, next to the preview option there’s the envelope button to email the form, can I use that one instead but to pre-populate the info rather than a blank form?
Said that, so what’s the difference between preview (routing enabled) and the envelope button?
@Moreno.Mauricio there are a few posts on this topic. Most agree that you should not setup your routing rules on the default report style. Instead, make a copy of the report style and add the routing rule there.
To answer your question, you can uncheck the routing enabled checkbox prior to clicking print preview. I have seen too many users send forms repeatedly and wonder why they didn’t get their pdf.
As a lot of the posts suggest don’t create a routing rule on the default style, I already did that. My questions are more related to, if a user click the print preview with the routing enabled it will immediately send the report via email without any further steps, but I want to be able to see the “email form” before sending it as I may need to add something to the email body, change the main TO email as it may be OOO, on vacation, CC the manager or something different as the “default” routing; if that makes sense. If so, how can I make it work/enable it?

If you want to see the whole shebang previewed (email + attachments) I’d add a custom preview style that has routing to send a sample email back to the user who requested it. You can always edit and forward it from there if needed, if I’m understanding your needs correctly.
What I’m trying to do is that when you click the print preview button it will send automatically the report, rather I want to be able to see the Epicor Email screen (from the routing) to confirm all fields are good or to modify as needed, if that is the case:
I think this is the second time in as many weeks that I’ve had to admit it’s been a hot minute since I built a APR workflow, but I’m pretty sure they place the emphasis on automated. You turn on routing, it does the rest without any option for further input. Hence my suggestion to just send yourself a copy.
All of my email automation projects completed this year have been through scheduled functions, FYI. That’s all internal alert stuff though. To the extent that is relevant, I’ll add that I don’t deal with OOO or forwarding at the ERP level. That’s what Outlook (or whatever email service you use) is for.
