While using the asset app in the Fixed Asset Management i saw that asset cost field is disabled? I am a little confused how do we enter the asset cost?
I believe the asset cost will update once you enter and post an Asset Addition to capture the cost of the asset. It is not manually updated.
I tried posting the cost additions but i am unable to post i have also checked the “ready to post” checkbox, but still the status is not posted.
Did you also run the Asset Edit List and Asset Posting Process for Addition transactions? The Asset Posting Process takes additions, disposals, and revaluations that are marked Ready to Post and actually posts the transactions. The Edit List will show you the GL activity the posting will create.
Can you navigate me through the Asset posting process in the above screenshot there was no process or post icon i also check the overflow menu but nothing was there.
There is a separate program called “Asset Posting Process” you need to run to post any additions, disposals, etc. you have entered.
Select the date range and types of transactions you want to post. There is also a screen called “Asset Edit List” which will give you a report of the transactions that will post.
