I am hitting a wall while trying to set up ODBC on Vantage 6.10.528.

I have the kit from Epicor for ver 6.1 and have performed the fix
that truncates the length of the index descriptions - apparently no
problem there.

When I go to the second step that is supposed to create the
sysprogress user id and password by using odbcuser61.r, I receive a
message in the progress window that states "you are only allowed to
change your own password (711) Press Spacebar to continue".

After this, when you attempt to open the Progress Data Administration
screen using startup procedure gui/_admin.r, I am required to first
log in, and the user id / password sysprogress is not working. I
have also tried odbcuser, just in case the instructions were wrong or
out of date (yeah, like that never happens).

Does anyone know what could be causing the set up of sysprogress to
fail and if so, what a workaround might be for it. Just so you know,
contacting tech support is not an option as we are not currently
paying for it.
