Auditing of Cycle Counts

Brian,
In addition, for 6.1 at least, you can also go into the count groups (Count Entry in 6.1) and see what has been counted in each group. We print those out and save for a period of time. So, along with the "Counted Date" field that Greg mentioned - it's doable, just not in a nice, neat format that shows each time a part is actually counted.

I believe that is incorrect.

If you look in Part Tracker on the General/Plants/Warehouses/List tab,
you will see a "Counted Date". That date is maintained in the PartWhse
table.

Subject: [Vantage] Auditing of Cycle Counts

I was having a chat with the controller for one of our units yesterday
and he brought up something that took me a bit by surprise.

When one does a cycle count in Vantage and posts the count, there's
nothing recorded in Vantage to indicate that the count actually took
place, unless there's a variance of some kind.

So how does one prove that the cycle count actually took place, or
know which parts were counted and how often say in the past 12 months a
given part has been counted?
