In Purchasing / Receiving, if a PO Release is partially received, there is an option that will automatically add a new PORel to the Purchase Order. The quantity on the new Release will be the balance between the original PORel and the Receipt. It reduces the original PO Rel to the received quantity, and closes that release.
I am wondering if there is similar functionality for Sales Order Releases. If an SO Release is partially shipped, then the system will automatically reduce the quantity on that OrderRel, create a new OrderRel for the balance, then close the original OrderRel.
Is there some kind of option or combination of checkboxes that will accomplish this? I haven’t received this request before, and I wasn’t able to find anything similar previously posted here.
