Automating Export

One last question. You must have the registered version of GC to get past
the nag screen, I assume. Are you running Win95 with Task Scheduler
activating a command line to activate your .gc file?

Is it possible to automate the export of Vantage data so that it occurs daily or weekly and replaces the file that was previously there? If so, how?

I have done one using Ground Control and task scheduler on my work station.
You can try GC at: http://www.acrasoft.com/gc.html
Took a lot of trial and error to get it working but was worth the effort.

I am using Report Builder to do file exports. I have found that I can
create a Report Builder report setting it up as a "File Export" format.
Then by setting it up with a scheduling routine, I can have the file
exported and replace the old ".TXT" file every night unattended (or I can
have it generate a new file by adding the "date" to the file name). This is
also working for ".HTML", ".PDF" (using Adobe Acrobat) files, and directly
e-mailing the report output through a MAPI enabled system.

Jerry,

Sounds like something I would like to do also but I am totally unfamiliar
with the Ground Control product. I did download the trial copy and could
really use a primer on which "commands" you used to get the tasks done.
(perhaps a copy of the macros you created?)
