Availability Report in .407

That is how our Availability report has always calculated. We started
with version 8.

Pam,

We are using .404B version and tried using this report for the first
time since we moved from 6.10. It appears to be calculating ONLY the
Existing Requirements against the on hand qty....disregarding the qty we
enter when we run the report, i.e We enter a qty of 50 when printing
report (to see if we have enough inv to make 50 pcs:

Part Number: 10-0116 On hand Qty 800
We have to 1 job on the system for a requirement of 300
Available Qty on Report = 500

The report does not calculate anything for the 50 pcs I entered. It does
display it as a Req'd qty, but this means we would have to go through
and subtract the Req' qty of 50 (or multiple of)from On Hand or
Available Qty for every part in the BOM.

Is this what your report is doing in .407 version?

I am going to send a suggestion for enhancement (although, I think it is
just not working correctly).

The Availability report has changed in version .407. I now allows for a
50 character part number.
The result of this is that the information for a component part wraps to
2 lines. The quantity Required, quantity on Hand and Quantity Available
are confusing to look at.

I've been told this is still a Progress report in version 9 and the
report is still confusing to look at.
We use this heavily each day. An enhancement request has been sent it
requesting this report print in landscape mode, or be moved to Crystal,
so we can have the ability to see all the data for one material on one
line.
