Found a situation where we’d like to issue consumable material at an hourly rate for a specific operation.
Searched but couldn’t find anything similiar, but I’d imagine this is a very common thing.
In our case, it’s a waterjetting operation that consumes XXX amount of material per hour. The amount per specific job will change (depending on part size) however we can generate an average use per hour, and go from there.
Only option I see is a BPM, which seems extremely messy for something like this.
The operation needs to be able to complete the time and quantity, so that’s nothing that I want to update. That labor entry setting is for when you only care about the time and not the quantity produced.
I’m looking to add a material that backflushes at a certain amount per hour, rather than amount per parent. Sure, somebody can revisit the job when complete, look at the hours booked against this operation and issue the material, but I’m trying to automate that.
