To enable the EmpLink, you have to go into Employee maintenance and
select the employees you want to link. Then under Actions select
"Create links to employees". When you are done, select all employees
and remove the links. This is a security feature so that only those
with the necessary privileges can link the PREmpMas with the other
payroll tables through the backend database. I wouldn't recommend
leaving the links in place.

Greetings again everyone.
I have put together dozens of BAQs and so am familiar with the idea.
However, I have one that I simply can not wrap my head around.
We just began running payroll, and we need to put together a spreadsheet
every week for submission for 401k contributions, etc. I figured it
would be easy enough to
take the weekly payroll data and join it through a BAQ and export to
excel.
However, there seems to be no easy way to join any data, from PRCHECK,
PREMPTAX, PREMPRT and join it to prempmas.
I need the employee SSN, DOT, DOH, etc....but the EMPLINK field in that
table is blank, even though the Data Dics show the relationship here.
There has to be a way they are linked for the checks to report in the
first place. Basically, as shown in the fields supplied, I am looking to
output the employee info, number of hours on the check, deductions for
cafeteria plan (insurance) 401k loan repayments, etc (basically the list
of deductions and totals for the pay period...
It may not help that I am still on 8.00.810A.
