BAQ Classic Phrase Build Layout Loses its Mind

I have a BAQ where… something… went weird. My best guess would be moving the form from one monitor to another that had different resolution / DPI settings, but I could be way off.

When I open it, it loads in this lovely fashion.

If I drag a table or attempt to rearrange and switch between subqueries, it goes back to this cluster when I select this subquery again.

I’ve attempted to save before/during/after. I’ve tried clearing client cache, including -OLDing the ProgramData\Epicor\Environment folder.

I’m hesitant to delete/recreate this BAQ as it’s very easy to miss a criteria on one of the various layers.

This doesn’t seem to be an issue in kinetic BAQ, but I’d like to understand what the best path forward is when this occurs because this just looks like something Charlie created in Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I’ve seen this happen on several smaller BAQs also, but this is definitely:

version?

2025.1.5

That’s actually pretty close to how I explain my logic to the end users.

It should be fixed in .6

Curious if you have the details on what causes this to occur. One of those things you can’t get out of your head when you’re used to the break/fix life. I want to say it didn’t occur until I swapped monitors and had to fight with the DPI on one of them.

It happened with version change from 4 to 5. I don’t think your monitor dpi is involved

I hope you do not have to update this too often.
Not much you can do unfortunately other than reporting it to Epicor and hope to get fixed. Put it in a dashboard so you never ever have to see it again

I see this regularly in 2025.1.5 smart client. I still can’t stand the browser BAQ editor.

I’ve had the same issue. At first I thought it was just new BAQs but then we have a big BAQ like your example that it blew-up the layout.

@Olga glad to hear it should be fixed in .6

It’s a big change but I’m trying to use both so it’s not such a shock.
