BAQ with Parameters v9.05.6

To clarify, I am trying to run the Utilities > Business Activity Query Export Process to export the Part records to a csv file. The concept was to create one BAQ with a parameter that would allow the end user to choose to the Type of parts to export.

Rob.

We are attempting to create a BAQ with parameters to filter the records to be exported. In this case, Part table with TypeCode as parameter.

In the BAQ Designer, when tested, it will pop up a Parameters window, allows you to select the TypeCode you want, and it displays the correct set of records.

However, when we run it through the BAQ Export Process, it just runs without giving you the option to select the parameter.

Has any body else tried tried this?

BAQ Export as in BAQ Designer -> Actions -> Export BAQ?
If that's the case you are exporting the physical file which allows you to
move the BAQ from DB to DB. Maybe I am misunderstanding

Ive noticed this too and thought it was a design 'feature'. If there's a work-around, I'd be interested in it too.

Good Day Rob:

I never had a problem with exporting except that it marks it NOT
shared.

What is the problem? You moved it to a new db and now does not work?
You may have to redefine the Parameters for the prompts.

You are running it as a BAQ search from a field -- that does not work. A
BAQ search will not ask for parameters, and will do odd things with
'fixed' criteria.
Must create a Quick-Search based on the BAQ and run it from a
field search.

BAQ Export as in BAQ Designer -> Actions -> Export BAQ?
If that's the case you are exporting the physical file which allows you
to move the BAQ from DB to DB. Maybe I am misunderstanding
