My second post for this question, just trying to get a sense on how others might be handling different types of material in a MFG process. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
We are currently using vantage 6 and are looking for ideas on the best use of vantage to track/reorder our As required materials (tapes, adhesives, solder etc). Our As Required materials are loaded in our BOM's but we set the required qty to .00001 so nothing shows up in time-phase to fill. We currently run a manual system to re-ordering As Required material due to the fact that we are not using the min/max setting and are not using PO suggestion (we are testing this process). If anyone can give some in site on their As Required programs that would be great. Ideally, what is the best use of vantage for handling As Required material. Thank you in advance.
