Best Way to Transfer Kitted Job Materials Between Warehouses

Hi all,

We’re running Epicor Kinetic 2025.1 and have two main warehouses:

  1. S1 – Main Production Facility
  2. S2 – Main Inventory and Kitting Facility

Currently, we kit materials for Jobs at S2, but then need to move those materials to S1 for production. Right now, we’re transferring materials manually, item by item, which is time-consuming.

Is there a way in Kinetic to transfer all kitted materials for a specific Job from one warehouse to another by simply entering the Job number—rather than transferring each part individually?

Ideally, we want to:

  • Enter a Job number
  • Automatically list all materials associated with that Job (already kitted at S2)
  • Transfer them all at once to S1

Has anyone implemented this or found a built-in method to handle it more efficiently?

Hi Ben,

Consider using your handheld for this. There is a move bin to bin WIP that should let you move all job parts in that warehouse location to another location.

PCID perhaps?

  1. With PCID you should able to have a dynamic setup that will allow the job number to be the license plate.
  2. Transfer the materials to the PCID
  3. Issue the whole PCID in one step.
  4. Idea would be that you have a rolling care, gaylord or box with the job number on the side.
