BOL & Linked packing slips

The BOL # is stored in the BOLNum field in the BOLHead file and Shiplog
field in the Shiphead file. Good luck linking them though. The BOL# is
stored as numeric in the BOLHead file and as a character field in the
ShipHead file. "No it's not a bug it performs as designed"

Does anyone know how these would be linked? I have looked at BOLhead
table and the shiphead table and i see no common field. I'm trying to
bring more information over from the packing slip (customer shipment)
to the BOL . In the BOL entry menu it has the option to View Linked
Packing Slips. How is this done?
