Hi Travis,

You may want to try SalesOrder.ChangePartNum with a Pre-Process
condition of

the "specified" field has been changed from any to any

click on "specified" and select ttOrderDtl.PartNum

then your Pre-Process action would be

show informational message based on the "designed" template

replace "designed" with whatever name you want to use and put whatever
message you want in the body of the template

To find out what method to use I did this:

Open or add a sales order and get to the point where you are going to
add a new line, then shrink the order entry screen or move it out of the
way and go to the Options menu on the main Vantage screen:

Options

Tracing Options

Turn on Enable Trace Logging

Turn on Track Changes Only

I always press Clear Log and Apply before hitting Ok

Go back to order entry and add your line and save it.

Go back to the Options menu on the main Vantage Screen:

Options

Tracing Options

Click on the View button and browse through the data.

Don't forget to back and turn off Enable Trace Logging once you have
found out what methods you need

I hope this helps,

Linda

Subject: [Vantage] BPM Assistance

I'm trying o get familiar with using BPM and I think this is a good one
to start on.

Here is the Scenario:

Customer Care would like to see a message in Sales Order entry when they
add a part to an order line that has the checkbox01 value as "True".
Checkbox01 is a custom field that I added to Part Maintenance. This
fields label is Additional Material Required.

What I would like to happen is when the user adds a new part in the
sales order that meets the criteria above for a message to pop up to
say: "This Part Requires Additional Material".

I'm fairly certain a BPM would work, but can someone tell me which
Business Object and Name I should use? I just need some help getting
started on this one.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis Late
