Hi All
Was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the following error and if the smart cookies here might have a solution. I have logged a case however the CS rep is telling me it will be corrected on 2024.2 looking at the release schedule 2023.1.10 is August I don’t know the release numbering but I’m guessing 2024.2 may be mid-next year too long to wait for this to be fixed imo.
Case - In Kinetic web version on cloud Create a new BAQ add a table (eg Customer) select a few fields run the BAQ, result is the Customer fields selected plus 27 columns from GLJrnDtl note the GLJrnDtl was not added to the BAQ. these 27 columns show no data and when exported to Excel appear as 27 columns of ‘undefined’.
Has anyone experienced the same and did you get a solution
You save the Test grid layout to the database for some BAQ with those fields, and it saved the additional columns.
There is no way to normally delete it. only directly from Ice.XXXDef.
Thank you so much for the replies it put me on the right path it did not occur to me that this was related to personalisations it is not something the CS rep mentioned. I don’t recall putting any on this screen however personalization is something that we have had a lot of trouble with, the typical symptom being that the screen does not load at all.
Having previously logged 4 different cases in the last 6 months on personalization problems we have a previously issued generic datafix FX_Del_XXXDef_KineticPersonalization it expires in 9 days so just in time, I ran it and yay I now do not have GLJrnlDtls in all my BAQs.
While happy that it’s fixed I’m pretty peeved that the CS rep didn’t suggest this we are a small company Epicor is a huge outlay for us the support we receive is somewhat lacking.
Yes the same thing happens to me all the time. I never save layouts on the baq screen so I don’t understand how a corrupt personalization is getting created in the first place. I request the data fix to delete kinetic personalizations about every month since they refuse to give me a version that will last longer. As far as the release schedule, 2024.1 is about to be released and 2024.2 will be out in the fall.
Sadly you are on the Cloud. But if you were on-prem the DataFixes are just Stored Procedures you can view via SQL Studio and see what they are actually running. If its encrypted you can decrypt it with dbForge SQL Decryptor - Decrypt SQL Server database objects you can change the expiration date… but… you chose Cloud.
