Burden vs Mtl Burden on Purchased Parts

They are wondering if there is a way to have the freight still to go  PPV and have the regular Burden go to another account. We haven't found the setup to do this but just throwing it out there.

My Company in its infinite wisdom decided they want to apply a burden to purchased parts (on top of freight)


To make the story short, when the burden posts both the freight and the additional burden are going to the PPV account. They are wondering if there is a way to have the freight still to go  PPV and have the regular Burden go to another account. We haven’t found the setup to do this but just throwing it out there.


PS: We are on Vantage 8.03

We tried this in 8.03.  AFAIK, since they’re in the same Mtl Burden cost bucket, the answer is no……. unless you write perhaps one of your crafty customizations… or in my case, a sexy little rogue SQL trigger (or perhaps a BPM would work, too).  There’s a lot of moving parts in that area of the system as you well know.
