Cad output

Hello all, I posted earlier about the troubles I was having in the capture tool. Currently I am unable to even see my CAD template in my capture tool when trying to use the program. I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing wrong, I’ve read the wiki many times and just can’t seem to understand where I’m going wrong. I have the CAD File in templates and my capture tool doesn’t want to acknowledge it is there. When I open the output builder or capture tool both programs are blank like there is no file attached, but when I did a word document I had no issue with the file showing up. Would anyone know if it could be the Build thats the issue?

Thanks for your time

Wish I could help - that’s breaking new ground for me… CPQ support on EpiCare has been helpful. Have you tried that? Please post a solution once you get it worked out!

When you say you have the CAD File in templates, I assume you mean you have uploaded the CAD file to the Resources cloud. Have you tried setting the template file path to something located on your PC? We have all of our CAD output templates located on our network, so in the Select Template field it specifies the file path to the template file on our network.

How do you open the capture tool? Are you clicking the ‘Capture Output Fields’ button on the ‘Template File’ group of the AutoCAD output. When you click that it should download a .kbcap file to run. Which will open the capture tool and should then open the template file in AutoCad.

I placed the CAD template file in the file directory that the Kbmax capture accesses aswell as download the .kbcap file. When downloading the file from kb max the capture tool opens but does not open anything allowing me to capture the CAD file

I’m sorry, I’m not following what exactly you are actually doing which is important in troubleshooting something like this.

A random thought though, maybe an anti-virus or anti-spyware software prevented something from installing properly. We had to have IT shutdown our anti-virus to install the Desktop Output Builder package on our machines.
