Need help understanding how to calculate the total consumption of each part in our system.
I created a BAQ from the ShipDtl file with fields ShipDtl.OurInventoryShipQty+ ShipDtl.OurJobShipQty summed up for each month and the total of the past 12 months.
The data is returned seems low on some of the child components though.
Question is do these 2 fields include the child components of all the parts on an order, or only the Parent parts?
Example: Sales orders part number 2345-USA includes a Panel and a hardware kit (PN HDW-KIT) to install it. The Pack shows shipping 1 2345-USA.
BOM
1- 2345-USA
2- HDW-KIT
3- Bolt 1
3- Nut 1
Will the ship qty show we shipped 2345-USA only or levels 2 and 3 from the BOM?
If the answer is no, which I think it is, where can I find the total usage data for the Level 3 parts?
STK-CUS & MFG-CUS would be your shipments out the door.
STK-MFG (this would be all your subcomponents being issued to jobs).
You may also have PUR-MFG, which would be parts purchased directly to jobs and not hitting inventory first. So, if you want everything, you have to look through the different transactions types and decide what you want to include, then filter everything else out.
I did try the Min Max Safety Mass Update. The function yeilds no results on my system. Cloud seems to be lacking these basic functionalities. I put in a ticket for it yesterday. Maybe I brought the system down by running it.
