I am considering submitting an EOI to be a speaker at the ANZ Insights this year in Gold Coast.
I have a model for production planning and scheduling within MRP which is still in the testing phase but quite a unique model that we worked with Epicor consultants to devise, and seems like there may be hope in getting our production planning back finally.
We suffer from a bad MRP implementation where we don’t really have the ability to make sense of the way Epicor does it’s production planning, which is a problem that especially manifests when we try to do planning for a division of a business which makes parts that have complicated parts with lots of common subassemblies. We have explored a model where we do a hybrid of make to job for assembly parts and make to stock for hardware parts that go into making these assemblies.
I also have implemented an automated label printing solution in Epicor which automatically spits out labels as soon as something is booked into stock.
Do you reckon that these two topics are worth submitting the EOI?
I know that #1 would be useful for a lot of people, but I can’t put a hand on my heart and say it works.
