We’re on Prophet 21 v24.1.5337.119. In our environment, the Purchase Location ID on a Purchase Order becomes locked as soon as line items are added. Our internal support team has told us this is “functionality in P21 that cannot be altered.”
Before I take this as final, I wanted to ask the community:
- Has anyone found a way (through BPM, data directives, Dynachange, or other customizations) to allow the Purchase Location ID to be changed after lines have been added?
- Alternatively, is there a workaround you’ve used when dealing with vendors who consolidate shipments but mix items for multiple locations?
The business case is that we often receive combined shipments where it would be much cleaner to align POs under the same location for container building and vessel receipts, rather than cancel/re-create POs.
I’d appreciate any insights, especially if you’ve implemented a customization or found a proven approach.
