Capturing costs for parts produced on operator-less machines

Its not an operator - less environment but it's a paint line where a
team of seven people work together to make the line run, here we use a
dummy operator with a quantity only operation. If your operation is not
the last operation you might want to consider a back flush option,
where its reported complete when the next operation is, assuming the
timing doesn't pinch you too much.

Subject: [Vantage] Capturing costs for parts produced on operator-less
machines

We have a few machines that currently run without operators and we need
to
capture the cost of producing parts on these machines. Does anyone else
do
this and if so, how do you capture the cost of running these parts? Do
you
clock on to a dummy operator and clock off when the job is complete?
