CCD Scanners vs Laser Scanners

Still a fan of laser scanners here.
Never any problems during 3 years of use.

Subject: [Vantage] CCD Scanners vs Laser Scanners

Hey everyone!

I have narrowed down our list of scanner options to the CCD scanners and the laser scanners. I'm leaning toward the CCD scanners because they sound like they are more reliable and durable. My question to everyone is, do the CCD scanners scan as quickly and efficiently as the laser scanners?

Any suggestions?

We've used both and I prefer the laser,
I don't know if it was the brand (Wasp CCD scanners, and Symbol laser scanners) but the Symbol laser scanners give me no trouble. Wasp CCD scanners had to be reset frequently, and they were just a little slower
