Curious how others are setting up and managing Cell Operatons and the associated burden rates.
We have a situation where we have 4 resources that are used for a Cell Operation, but depending on the part that is being processed the process time per resource can be different, which means the burden rate should reflect that. In short we have varying burden rates depending on how the part has to be processed. Sometimes it takes one tool in the same resource and sometimes it takes multiple tools in the same resource.
If in Engineering Workbench we could set different Rates for each Resource on the operation (like you can in a Job) this might work, but that doesn’t look to be an option.
I don’t know how you would manage varying burden rates, but perhaps what you are after are the burden settings on the resource group. Read the field help to get fairly in depth explanations.
Another piece to the puzzle, you can set concurrent capacity on a operation, so it knows to schedule a set number of machines for this part/job(I believe, have yet to fully test/implement)
