Certificate VPN Issues

Hi!

We are trying to set up a new VPN.

Our Prod server has a web based SSL, apparently for security in case we ever expose Epicor to the web, but it’s causing issues for us now. It won’t connect when the VPN is running.

Our Dev server, which is on local and uses personal certificates, however DOES work when the VPN is running.

Do we need to have an SSL if we’re not exposing Epicor to the web? Can we have a personal/local certificate instead?

I suspect you mean Certificate Authority vs Self Signed Certificate? Either scenario should work just fine.

In both cases, the certificates need to also exist on the clients in the Trusted Root Certificates. Are you just missing that for the production server?
