Hi,
We are building something for a customer which will take over a year to deliver.
Management wanted a Design operation to be entered 15 times with the description changed on each entry so we can track what the design team are working on by which of the design operations they select. They will be working on any of the 15 design operations at a given time so we don’ want them in different WBS phases.
We don’t want to create them as new Ops in OpMaster because the op descriptions are project specific and we would flood the OpMaster table if we created 15+ different new design operations per project going forwards.
Ideally in time entry, they would see
Time type > Project
Assembly (e.g. 0)
Operation: Dropdown list, for example
10 DES Section 1
20 DES Section 2
30 DES Section 3
40 DES Section 4
I have entered the design operation 15 times and changed the description to match each section, but in Time entry all they see is is the Op Master description, not the job operation description
e.g.
10 DES Design
20 DES Design
30 DES Design
40 DES Design
I’m trying to change the dropdown preview to show the descriptions but I’m stuck.
Previous examples are from around 2018 and use the classic interface.
In Time Entry, Time Details, the Combo box is cmbPhaseOprSeq
Epi Binding: LaborDtl.PhaseOprSeq
Reuseable combo type: JobOperSearch.JobOperSearchCombo
Service: Erp.BO.JobOperSearchsvc
I’ve made a BAQ and tried to create a quick search but nothing I’ve tried is working, please can anyone help point me in the right direction?
