We want to put other information we need in unused fields in the order entry. The fields are “Cfg Selling Open Qty” and “Old Open Value”.
But, I would like to change these fields. This is because people who know the rules are doing this work now, but later people who don’t know the rules will also have to do this work.
I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to change these fields.

Change the column heading, swap the fields for others?
I would use UD fields for this.
It is not wise to use fields created by Epicor for specific data, for other uses.
Firstly it can be very confusing from a support perspective, but also you have no control of the field in subsequent releases.
Just change the column heading.
I know what you mean. So I chose these columns carefully. I chose columns that simply input information and have no impact on subsequent processes.
If I knew a bit about customizing Epicor, I would use UD, but since I don’t, I think this would be the fastest way.
Stop and learn about UD fields is my advice.
