How does one change plant in MES. Bringing up the menu from the upper left corner and using ‘Change Site’ does not work.

I think that is the only way. If it’s not working you could be into re-installing the client
This sequence used to work but… TBD if it helps in your case
Logon to the full E10 client ( with credentials for the user account that will start MES)
Change to the company/site
Log out of the E10 Client
Start MES - using the same credentials previously used
Also - if you haven’t already done so, I set the “Global Options” in MES so it is easy to verify account/company/site
