So I am new to this epicor solar…my company has never used a real segmented COA…they used the account descriptions to bascially do nothing, they ran like this for over 20 years, prior finance people had no. clue…they have a BS and IS in the system which is unusable and not GAAP …the company is now 200M and we cannot grow without some very fundamental changes to the fiance/GL side. we are running the latest version…can we make wholesale changes to the COA and will this erp support a multi segmented account structure…

Kinetic has a multi-segmented account structure at its core.

Being new, make sure you have an EpicWeb account. From there you can download documentation.

Under help, search for “Posting Engine” and read the article called “Understanding the Posting Engine”.
