Comparison of SolidWorks BOM to Vantage BOM

Hello Sandy,
We're currently on Vantage 6.0 and have recently gone to SolidWorks
from AutoCAD 2000 for our primary CAD system. We have had our AutoCAD
and Vantage BOMs tightly integrated ever since we went live with
Vantage with version 5.0. For AutoCAD we use a product
called "BOMLink" from AimaSoft to create AutoCAD BOMs using "online"
Vantage part data. Once the AutoCAD BOM is completed we import it
into Vantage using the standard Vantage bom import routine. This
method guarantees that the Vantage BOM will match the AutoCAD BOM.

When we decided to get into 3D CAD with SolidWorks we determined that
it was essential that we have similar capabilities for the Vantage-to-
CAD BOM integration. We purchased a very powerful and full featured
software package called "Enterprise Explorer (Entralink)", again from
Aimasoft (www.aimasoft.com), to provide this integration.

BomLink and EntraLink both have many additional powerful features.
I'd be happy to share our experience in using these products.
Regards,
Jerry

I have a request from our engineering department to compare the BOM that
SolidWorks (we are going to this from AutoCad) creates to the BOM in
Vantage. They would like to make sure that both are the same. Does
anyone have any idea how I would do this?

Thanks!
