Has anyone here investigated the Compiere Open source ERP
package? http://www.compiere.org/ I hadn't checked in a while, but the
HR question piqued my interest. Looks like they have an HR / PR module
planned, but none currently.

I am looking at a couple of options for integrating HR with Vantage. One is
Epicor's Epeople, the other is Caeser HR Module.

Is anyone using either of these modules? Are there any others?

We're not using either one of them, but we did a web seminar on ePeople and
frankly we weren't sure why Epicor was pushing it. Don't get me wrong,
ePeople looked like a great standalone HR product (at $15,000, it had better
be great) but as far as integration with Vantage's payroll module, I don't
think there was any. As I understood it, we'd have to pay to have it
integrated, so it wasn't for us.

Do any other people's impressions match mine? If I'm wrong about the
integration part or how useful it is, we might consider it again.

I did the web seminar also, and I pretty much agree with your take on
it.

Good Morning All ---

I just wnated to ask what the question....
What kind of HR Software does everyone use since Vantage leaves a
little to be desired in this depratment (and many others in my
opinion)? We have a union shop here and we have to track so many
little things that the current way we do it is becoming cumbersome.
I would like something that would interface with vantage is
possible. Currently we are using G-neil - Attendance Controller &
Confidental Employee.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Cheryl
Our HR person thoroughly investigated all of the packages out there. We just chose People-Trak. Their package
was the most comprehensive for the price. Some of the others were great - but really high. Plus, they are doing the
interface to Vantage at a very reasonable price - also much better than alot of the other packages. We haven't used it yet,
but it if does all of the things shown in the demo, it will save her LOTS of time. We definitely wanted something that was integrated with the information already in Vantage, and we will import the data to People-Trak to keep it updated.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I have been the market for a good HR software program and I have
settled on PeopleTrak (have not purchased yet --PO is written). I
was talking to my sales rep the other day about how little Vantage
has to offer in the HR arena and he said that they are partnering
with Open4 to have the Open4 HR software intergrated into Vantage.
Has anyone had any experience with this software? Has anyone else
heard anything about this new (?) development? All thoughts and
suggestions are welcome!

TIA
Cheryl
Cheryl:
I heard recently that Vantage was introducing a HR Module, but don't know
any more than that about it. We also purchased People Trak and
our HR Mgr is very happy with it.

Open4 is going to give me a demo of it later this week. I'll report back as to how it is. the other thing was $$$. It sounded like it was going to be more expensive -- a lot more expensive.
