The following part numbers 1005611, 1010438, 304-16242-00, 5400-0000003, and 5400-0000002—share the same serial number format: PN-Rev-300310-WWYY-####.
Is there a way to configure Epicor to follow this format automatically, preventing the need to create multiple serial number masks when a part has the same format or when a revision changes?
Did you create the mask in Serial Mask Maintenance or on each part?
I created the mask using Serial Mask Maintenance, but I’m unsure how to configure it to automatically generate default part numbers and revisions within the serial number. I tried following the default mask characters, but Epicor kept crashing whenever I clicked save.

creation of the serial number is via Serial Number Assignment, ie linked to the job
so yes…one serial mask defined at part level in serial number format, ie many parts linked to the same mask. So a new serial created is unique against all of these parts in the mask.
