Container entry altering purchase orders v8.03.404b

Bill,

What we have seen is that you have to be very careful about the
default setting of the radio button for container entry. Ours was set to
"ship short", and adjusted our line qty on container shipment. We reset
default to do neither, and that stopped that. (we are on 407A). The
problem we are having now is that the system is no longer asking if we
want the release date changed to match the container due date- it's just
changing it. In 406, it would ask for confirmation, and we always said
no. 407A is not even asking- just doing the update.

Another thing to watch for in 407A- if you have a supplier price
list, and enter a price different from that on the price list, 407A
resets your price to list if you create a release.

Hope this helps.

has anyone else had an issue with container entry changing total owed
qty of a p.o. release? my understanding is as follows: if container line
comsumes the po release at < 100% the balance will be placed on a new
release, if the container line comsumes the po release at > 100% the
p.o. release is not changed automatically but can be changed manually if
desired. of course if container line comsumes the po release at 100% no
changes occur.

we have seen some goofy things and i am asking if the process as i
described is correct or if i do not understand the process.

thanks in advance for your time and trouble.
