Jumping Versions. I highly advise that you follow ALL the steps outlined in
the install documents for each version. And practice what you want to do
before you do it. Think of it as a long term investment because it will
save you problems in the future.

I believe you only have to put on the LATEST 5.0 patch and database
conversions before you move on to 5.1. That's how I did it when I
migrated
from 4.0 to 5.0 to 5.1. Tech support can tell you for sure, but I think
the
patches are "inclusive." You have to bring the database up in 5.0
anyhow -
run your accounting reports to be sure everything matches, so you might as
well use the latest patch.
