Cost adjustment

You can just change the cost. If you are change the Cost TYPE from Average to Standard, then you have to Zero the inventory. Otherwise, you can change the standard cost anytime. If this is a purchased part, you may want to roll up any assemblies that use this part as well.

Subject: [Vantage] Cost adjustment

Hi again!

Yes...I'm full of questions this week! :)

I have an stocked inventory item for which I need to change the standard
cost. When we converted to Vantage, it was set up with a $0 standard
cost....now I want to put in the real cost.

Do I need to zero out the inventory, change the cost, and re-enter the
inventory quantity? Or can I just update the cost? Don't want to do
anything to mess up the financial consequences.

Thanks all.....you've truly been a BIG help this week. Much appreciated!!
