Cost of Scrap

Sorry, Julie! You are using the job assembly table which has all costs per
assembly. I did this long time ago and tried to do it by operation within
the assembly with no luck. Let me know if you were able and how.

Have a good day!

Mario:
I really liked this formula that you shared and added it to my scrap report,
but am wondering if you know how I could find the costs at specific
operations.
ie: if we scrap parts at the first operation (CNC or Brakes) the scrap cost
at that point is less then if the parts get scrapped after a later
operation.

Thanks for any input!

I am in 6.1 and did not change my scrap report (in Access). The costs I
took
were all the TLA plus LLE costs divided by required quantity (unit cost)
in
the JobAsmbl table. Please, share if you find another way. Thank you!

Has anyone created a "Cost of Scrap" report in version 4? We are looking to
get only the materials, labor and burden through to the point scrap is
reported.

Epicor tells me in version 4.0 scrap costs are computed by looking at the
total job cost at the time scrap is reported. If materials or labor has
been reported on subsequent operations it will be included in the reported
cost.

If someone has already done a report like what I'm looking for in either CR
or RB I would certainly find it helpful..

Thanks

Warren,

I've got a few that I just uploaded to Vantage Onelist. I put mine in the
Scrap2.prl file. It looks like there is another one there (Scrap.prl) that
you might try as well. Mine comes with summary and detail reports in two
categories: by reason and by work center.

Sandy,
wouldn't you think there would be a canned report for this?
I was forced to write a procedure where I extract scrap quantity by
partnumber from the labor table and import the file into MSaccess.
Let me know if you want more information.

Sandy,

I forgot to mention that you will need 2 sources to get the real scrap. One
is the labordtl table and the other one is from rejected DMR's. I actually
import both into Access and combine them both into one report. Good luck!
