Cost Roll Up Ver 6.1

We monthly run cost-roll up.
We have no problems with it.

We use Standard cost method.
On 6.1

We do wish that purchase last-cost would roll into standard-cost

HELP

Anyone experiencing problems with Vantage doing a Cost Roll Up? We are on
6.1.517 and have BOMs that run 7-10 levels deep and while some of our
subassemblies have costs rolling up correctly, the finished parts are not.
This isn't
just some of our finished parts but rather ALL OF THEM.

The part tracker rolls up the cost correctly for the revision and the BOM
Cost
report displays the correct costs however Cost Roll Up displays all zeros.

All cost groups have been deleted (even some that we posted- still
questioning
that feature!!) thinking that we can't have more than one cost group open
at a time.

We've tried multiple postings thinking the subassembly costs need to be
posted
before the Roll Up will include them into the finished goods however that
didn't
work either.

We have verified Costing Lot Sizes are set correctly, Revisions are approved
and
all the sub-component revisions are approved. All the purchased parts have
correct
costs, and the work center/operations have costs.

Anyone see something we're missing here - all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Calvin

We're on 518 and I've been doing most of the cost roll-ups but have not
had any problems that couldn't be explained. When I have a BOM that
doesn't roll, I have found that the part is either unapproved, checked
out to the Engineering Workbench (approved or not), user added a rev but
didn't do a get details to pull the BOM in, etc.

Butch

Along with Butch's suggestions, don't forget to check effectivity
dates on BOM. An accidental future date will have the same impact
as an unapproved revision.
