CRE Paypal Developer Account Setup

Trying to setup CRE to work with Paypal Development account

I found this post:

But I still can’t get it to work, we are doing some testing and having a TEST CC Setup would be swell but there is no documentation anywhere not in EpicCare, EpicWeb, EPX… anywhere

Just bumping this up, hoping someone has this setup and can help.

I’ve read the documentation, but never attempted to get it to work. Not that that helps…

Hmmm where did I see it…

WELP after back and fourth for a while Epicor Support was able to find what I needed

Way to go Epicor support thank you!:clap::clap::clap:

Now here’s a guide for everyone else who will find themselves in this situation.

Setting Up CRE for Testing with PayPal PPCP

  1. Get a PayPal account and setup a development account (you get one automatically if you are a regular PayPal customer) just head over to PayPal Developer and Login with your Regular Credentials
  2. In the Developer Dashboard Head over to Apps & Credentials
  3. Click Create App
  4. In the popup make sure you select Merchant and Give it an App name
  5. You will get a Client ID (Epicor Username) and a Secret (Epicor Password)
  6. Get your Account ID by Clicking View Details right next to your “Sandbox Account Info” section
  7. Scroll down and Copy the Account ID:
  8. Head over to Epicor and make sure your CRE is Setup Correctly and working in production then copy everything (as is) over to Test / Pilot
  9. In the Configuration Tab make sure you set Testing Mode
  10. In the Processor Tab you’ll want to Switch over to PayPal Testing and fill it out as shown below:
Field Value
Processor Name paypal_ppcp_test
Processor Description Paypal Test… or something like that
Partner PayPal
Merchant ID Get from your Developer Sandbox above Step 7
User Get from your Developer Sandbox above Step 5 (Client id)
Password Get from your Developer Sandbox above Step 5 (Secret)

The rest you can leave blank or have it match your production setup.

You can use the Credit Card Generator to Test your Setup in PayPal Developer Portal head over to Tools → Credit Card Generator

Go into Epicor and Process it through

From what I understood with the two CC options available Paypal was a bit expensive. Might be different over there… Everything is expensive here.
