Create Field to report on a BAQ

Wow, that is simple enough. Thanks a lot. Didn't even notice that button there. I was just a button away.

I have created a Check box on my Part Entry screen to suggest if something needs to go to inspection or not. I am new to Epicor and don't know how to map it so it is a reportable field. For example, if I wanted to pull that check box into a BAQ for reporting. I see the EpiBinding and I have selected CheckBox01, but how do I add it to "Part" so I can query it into my BAQ and how do I rename that field to say what I want it to say?

is this done by creating a UD Table?

I hope I was clear in what I want to do.

Thanks,
Andrew
BTW, I'm on 9.05.607

Andrew,

If you bound your control within Customization to a table’s field, then that’s all you need. That value will now update Part.Checkbox01 (assuming you selected that field when you customized your form).

Then, simply create a BAQ or modify other Report Data Def’s to include your field in various reports.

Subject: [Vantage] Create Field to report on a BAQ

I have created a Check box on my Part Entry screen to suggest if something needs to go to inspection or not. I am new to Epicor and don't know how to map it so it is a reportable field. For example, if I wanted to pull that check box into a BAQ for reporting. I see the EpiBinding and I have selected CheckBox01, but how do I add it to "Part" so I can query it into my BAQ and how do I rename that field to say what I want it to say?

is this done by creating a UD Table?

I hope I was clear in what I want to do.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks for the reply. I did select "Part.CheckBox01" on the EpiBinding row, but when I pull "Part" into my BAQ, it does not have a checkbox01 column to select. Do I have to make it visible somewhere else?

In the BAQ Designer, click the little button with a strange picture and a tooltip of “Show User Defined Fields”, usually to the right of the A->Z sort button. Otherwise the designer hides all the CheckBox01 etc fields on you.

Brian.

Thanks for the reply. I did select "Part.CheckBox01" on the EpiBinding row, but when I pull "Part" into my BAQ, it does not have a checkbox01 column to select. Do I have to make it visible somewhere else?
