Creating end user processes with Scribe

I have seen this on Facebook - today I thought I would give it a try.

If you are documenting processes - this is similar to Knowledge Mentor from Epicor but for a lot less.

This one took me a couple minutes to create.

Just a note - this is not a free app.
It’s a subscription - but well worth it for creating EUPs

We’re planning on using it for our Kinetic UI work instructions too. Thanks for posting.

A former employer who wrote software used Adobe Captivate. It’s good for creating courses and the Internationalization is very strong.

I’ve been making EUPs in SharePoint pages, but it can be a bit clunky, especially coming from Confluence. I’ll give this a try!

I also have used SnagIt from Tech Smith - if works great as a screen capture tool.
Allows you to put flags on various field.

Yes I’ve used Snagit forever… but scribe looks good… Snagit is somewhat cheaper… Does all the generated docs remain in their portal?

It appears that the generated docs remain the portal.
Also there are communities, so you could share / copy other scripts.

Just tried the guide me part of the app.
You launch the program and it tells you where to fill in the information.

You can download PDFs that’s what we do and publish them on our company SharePoint.

Can you clarify how this part works? Is this a Chrome extension that any user in your company could open to walk them through the EUP for that specific page? If so, that’s extremely cool.

I just started using it late last week. I have been a Snagit 8 (?!) user forever. Scribe is quick. I can’t wait until I actually get good at it.

So far so good. Hopefully this will build a library of quick answers for all of those users that are telling me how they don’t want to learn Kinetic.
