Creating Tooling Kits for Operations

Wondering if anyone has an idea or technique (any experience) to essentially create a KIT part number for tooling to be issued to a job rather than listing each of the contents and having separate transactions.
We want to issue one kit vs 1-X discreet parts to the Job for each op. This also would complement the way we intend to store the kitted parts (in a toolkit vending cabinet). It seems like a great feature - am I just missing it in plain sight or do we have to do it the hard way  ?
Share as you can. Thank you!

Henry,

This is referred to as a phantom part in Epicor.

You setup the parent β€œkit” part number as a manufactured part and mark it
as a non-stock phantom.

Give it a revision and add materials only.

Now add this phantom part to a BOM.
When a job is made the parent phantom level disappears and only the
materials show on the job.

Is this what you are looking for?

Sounds about right. I will try it out in a dev slot. Thank you.
May I ask followup questions if needed?
