Job has a credit issued straight into the A/R system and it links to the job like it should when we reference an invoice. The credit shows on the production detail report under invoice activity.
If we develop and invoice thru the RMA processing system the credit does not link to the job and show on the production detail report under invoice activity even though the system knows the sales order number, the line and the release #.
When the RMA system did not work we started with the old job # with an R for rework, it had a sales order #, line # and release # linked to the job.
If the job has been completed and closed and we set up the rework job to gather the expenses and we create the credit and do not reference a previous invoice. Because there is no invoice to reference it does not show on the production detail report under invoice activity.
We did try to use another invoice to reference for the same customer and an error comes up.
We also have a similar problem with accounts payable linking credits to our jobs.
Anyone have any solutions?
Thank you,
Pam Simantz.
