CRM User - "Invalid Session - please login again to change license type"

We have 1 user who cannot print in the CRM, they get this error:

They can print if they use a full license, or CRM in the browser, but CRM in the client they get this error message regardless of whose PC they use.

Epicor support has been unable to help us so far, even after escalating. Any ideas or things to check or try?

Well, I can’t figure out how to make the kinetic print work, but forcing the use of the classic print screen does seem to resolve it…

Sounds like there is an issue with assigning licenses in the client. Something probably changed in a release.

We had a similar issue with MES licenses. It was trying to open a Customer Shipment Entry menu from Financial Mgmt > AR > General Operations instead of the one in Shipping / Receiving. Since the MES user didn’t have permission to the parent folder, it threw the same error. I wonder if it’s trying to open a “Print” slide-out from Quote Management instead of CRM folder.

sounds likely, but that would be an issue with the epicor base layer…

 Not sure how that would explain it working in browser and not in the client though…

We had this issue in 2022.1.3 - not with printing, but with Case Entry, Quote Entry…basically all of the CRM applications. We were assigned PRB0251468, which was accepted and implemented in version 2023.2.9 and fixed the issue.

Well, I am on 2024.2.10 so I guess this wasn’t fixed at that time

Out of curiosity doing a clear client cache with extreme prejudice (deleting the entire cache directory), didn’t have any impact, I’m suspecting not.

Understood, I thought it might give the devs somewhere to look.
