Crystal Assistance - Picklist

Last week I had training on Dashboards and Crystal and one of the reports we identified that we wanted to revise was the picklist. We weren't able to get exactly what we wanted by modifying the current picklist report, so we started from scratch and made a new BAQ and crystal report and were able to successfully use the part table. It's still a bit fuzzy to me as I now need to go and practice on my own but I'm willing to share it if anyone will tell me how to copy this so I can share with the group.

Jen,
Yes, I've checked that out. It is linked in the report to the JobMtl table. I've tried contacting Epicor support, but no joy there. Has anyone else had any luck modifying the PickList report to add the Part table to it??

Karl -
Double-check and make sure that the table that you brought in was not "automatically" linked to the company table or another table. That's when I've ran into that.
Hope that helps!

Members, I've updated several Vantage Crystal reports already, but I'm stumped as to what is wrong with my mod for the Pick List. I have a field on the Part master that I want to bring in to the Pick List. I've gone through the standard activities of copying the Data Definition for the Vantage Pick List, defining a relationship for the JobMtl to Part tables based on Company and PartNum, creating a Style and generating the XML. The report has table definitions for itself as well as a subreport. I pulled in the Part table from the XML and established links to the JobMtl table for both the main and subreport, but when I attempt to execute it, I receive the message "If tables are already linked then the join type cannot change". The link relationship with the JobMtl table is InnerJoin, Not enforced,  =, (same as it is with JobAsmbl to JobMtl). Does this problem ring a bell with anyone? I'm using Crystal 11 on v803.403D
Â
TIA

Jen,
Yes, I checked that. In fact when you first bring in the Part table, it doesn't show on Explorer. I right-clicked on Explorer and pushed the table over from the XML and then went into the Link options to attach it to the JobMtl table in both the main and subreport. The curious thing(full confession) is the shape of the link arrows for main and subreport. Typically when you have the situation of Innerjoin, Not Enforced,= as a link method, the link lines are dots at both ends, but this report shows this condition, but the link line is a dot on the left, but an arrowhead on the right. Is this a useful addition to the problem??
Regards,
-Karl-
